Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for International Scientific Collaboration
The Foundation was established in March 1976 through a donation by SEB in honor of Dr. Tech. Marcus Wallenberg (1899-1982), after he stepped down as Chairman of the bank.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has distributed more than SEK 38 million to fund more than 169 symposia.
Focusing on multi-discipline symposia
The Foundation supports symposia in multiple areas that Swedish scientists have been successful in.
Grants are made for symposia of high scientific quality that have an international orientation and are attended by international participants. Symposia shall not be recurrent. They are to be held in Sweden and have a limited number of participants.
Application and review process
Highly qualified Swedish scientists and institutions may apply for grants.
The Foundation only accepts electronic applications submitted online.
